After the marathon last week, I try
to join the short distance races which help wake up the fast twitch
muscle so to speak. That's why I signed up for the Avon KGBC Manila Run
10K.
For awhile there friends and I were
busy texting each other till midnight the night before checking if the race
would push through because of a direct hit from typhoon SANTI.
Eventually, we got confirmation that all was good to go for the Avon Race.
It was a perfect Sunday morning,
cloudy with a slight cool breeze and the race started without a hitch. It
was nice to see an old old old friend Rudy B. who was our race organizer in the
first Condura Skyway Marathon in 2008. The race turned out rather well. I
had fun, finished with a good time and most of all, it was a for very good
cause.
Distance : 10 km
Finish time : 54:30
