The Asics Runners Face Cover

The ASICS RUNNERS FACE COVER was designed at the ASICS Institute of Sport Science (ISS) and helps prevent the spread of droplets by covering the nasal passage without restricting airflow. This face cover’s material helps the fabric dry quickly while improving comfort and breathability. Equipped with more room inside the face cover to make it easier to breathe, this accessory also has strategically placed air holes that increase airflow while preventing saliva from splashing into the open air. Featuring an adjustable fit to accommodate a wide range of runners, this design is also formed with approximately 31% recycled materials for a more sustainable manufacturing approach. Formed with a water repellent exterior, the ASICS RUNNERS FACE COVER is also equipped with a washable fabric that makes it easier to keep clean.

After logging approximately 75km , the “Asics Runners Face Cover”, is quite effective in terms of performance and durability. Though the market may offer up a lot of choices, choosing a face mask for running will all boil down to ones personal preference but giving due importance to three essential things: COMFORT , FIT and BREATHABILITY. It must be pointed out, however, that masks are but one layer of intervention against COVID. It is best not to have a false sense of security in terms of protection and still practice combined safety protocols to minimize risk.

As of this writing, the Asics Runners Face Cover is not yet available in the Philippines but is currently available online. I was informed that it may be out in the local market 1st quarter of 2021.
