Before anything else, please forgive me for this very late blog post on the Condura Skyway Marathon 2016. Writing the blog had to be put aside for the time being as other far more important and sensitive matters have taken priority.
For the past 8 years, I have often taken this time to make known our appreciation to all those who have made this event possible. This year is no different. Our gratitude goes out to all the participants, sponsors, family and friends who have supported us through the years and continue do so. Your contribution has made a real difference for our beneficiaries and enables us to increase cause awareness for the HERO FOUNDATION.
To the CSM Team who have tirelessly worked above and beyond the call of duty, thank you for your spirit and dedication. Indeed, what doesn't break us can make us stronger and with a continued desire to do better.
Our gratitude most especially goes out to our 2 brothers, Major Arnold Lubang and Manases Alfon, Jr. I wish I could have personally rooted for you; cheered you on as you both crossed the finish line together with all the other runners but that was not to be. We cannot dictate our fate. All we can hope for is that for those who are lost, go doing what they love. We thank you for your solidarity with us in our cause, for sharing our passion and serving as an inspiration to each of us with the life you lived.
