The Nike Human Race

The Nike Human Race 10k
Date: Aug.31, 2008
Location: McKinley hill
Distance 10k.

In my years of running I would have to say that “The Nike Human race “is so far 1 of the best races I have joined. The course was very challenging because of the hilly terrain. I also liked it when around the 5th to 7th kilometer the course was run in Heritage Cemetery. The event was very well organized. There where water stations every 2 kilometer and there was plenty of marshals to guide you. It was also not a big crowd races my estimate about 500 runners which again is the way I like it. I’m not a big fan of big races because I feel when there are over 2500 participants the races becomes pure chaos.
The Actual Distance base on my Garmin 205 is 10.39km I finished at 54.41min which is equivalent to a 5.16/km pace and I finished 32nd place overall.
What was also unique with this race is when you cross the finish line your picture would be taken by “Mr. Ben Chan - Photographer on the run”. http://benmchan.blogspot.com/
Very Good Race. Good job Rio De La Cruz!!! Great job NIKE!!
