Did you know that ... BONIFACIO GLOBAL CITY (BGC) was previously part of a US military base and formerly named Fort McKinley. After the Philippines independence from the US in 1946, it was subsequently renamed to FORT BONIFACIO , after the national revolutionary hero Andres Bonifacio whose father was a native from Taguig.
In 1995 the land was opened for development under the Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) and has transformed into one of the most modern business districts in the Philippines.
